1. Community Purpose

Homestay.pro exists for cultural homestay, language practice, and family-based cultural exchange between international participants and screened Chinese host families.

These Guidelines apply to all users, including international participants, Chinese host families, and platform community members.

These Guidelines form part of the Terms of Use. By accepting the Terms of Use, users agree to follow the current version of these Guidelines. No separate Community Guidelines checkbox is required.

Homestay.pro does not accept minors as independent users or international participants. Users must not use the platform to contact, solicit, harass, exploit, expose, or improperly process information relating to minors.

2. Respect and Safety

Users must treat each other with dignity, respect, patience, and cultural sensitivity. Discrimination, harassment, threats, humiliation, sexual misconduct, stalking, hate speech, or intimidation are not allowed.

3. No Dating, Marriage, or Friendship Misuse

The platform is not a dating app, friendship app, marriage introduction service, or international matchmaking service. Users must not use the platform to seek romantic partners, marriage partners, private companionship, or unrelated social relationships.

4. Privacy Protection

Users must not collect, copy, sell, publish, forward, screenshot for public disclosure, scrape, or misuse other users’ personal information. Public profiles and contact details may be used only for the specific cultural homestay matching purpose authorized by the platform.

5. Honest Information

Users must provide accurate and truthful information. False identity, misleading photos, hidden risks, fake documents, false reviews, or manipulated communications may result in suspension or removal.

6. Communication Standards

Users must communicate respectfully and appropriately. The following are prohibited:

• abusive, sexual, threatening, or discriminatory messages;
• repeated unwanted contact;
• pressure to move communication off-platform before appropriate authorization;
• requests for credentials, private documents, passwords, or unrelated services;
• manipulation, coercion, or emotional blackmail.

7. No Commercial Solicitation

Users must not advertise, recruit, sell products, promote courses, solicit unrelated commercial arrangements, or use the platform for unrelated commercial activities without written platform permission.

8. Cultural Exchange Boundaries

Appropriate activities may include language practice, sharing meals, family conversation, local cultural experiences, and daily-life learning. Users must not force others to teach, work, provide childcare, perform, film, livestream, promote products, or participate in religious, political, or commercial activities.

9. Reporting

Users should report harassment, scams, privacy violations, unsafe behavior, rule violations, or emergencies to the platform promptly. Where necessary, users should also contact local emergency services or public authorities.

10. Platform Enforcement

The platform may issue warnings, remove content, restrict communication, pause matching, cancel applications, terminate accounts, deny further participation, preserve evidence, or report conduct to authorities where appropriate.

11. Shared Responsibility

Every user helps maintain a safe, respectful, and trustworthy cultural exchange environment. By using Homestay.pro, you agree to follow these Guidelines.
